Cheap and Chic Finds Shoes

Here's the final installment of this week's Cheap and Chic Finds. It only seemed right that there would be a shoe edition. These shoes are all from wet seal and are all under $40, and might I just say that I absolutely love all three pairs to death. You have the edgier motorcycle chic booties for $34.50, then there is the trendy and very "in" shoes, the fringe heels for $36.50, and finally there is the preppy pair for $22.50. Why these are even a better deal? Because if the trend fades out, you didn't waste hundreds of dollars on them! But don't worry, I was very careful to pick shoes that were sturdy enough to last so long as the trend does! Happy shopping!

Cheap and Chic Finds Accessories

So here's the accessories version of Cheap and Chic. Same rules apply, all of the items are from Forever21 and are all under $15! The first item is a Studded Wood Bangle and for only $5.80, who could resist? The second item is a Coin Studded Belt ($11.80) and would complete any outfit. The third item is the Forever21 version of a Balenciaga bag. The Voletta Leather Clutch ($12.80) is a great way to indulge in an adorable design without going into sticker shock. The fourth item is a Glistening Bracelet ($8.80). Such a cute bracelet and a great price! The fifth item is a Rose Antique Ring ($6.80) and would look great with any swimsuit. And the final item is a Lily Waist Belt ($12.80). I really love this belt. It's obviously knocking off Gucci, but would be a great belt for spring time.

Cheap and Chic Finds Tops

In light of the economy, I thought I'd do a day of Cheap and Chic Finds. These items are from Forever21 and all under $20 with the exception of the coat which is under $45. The first item reads "LOVE CONQUERS ALL" and is absolutely adorable. Just a simple and cheap shirt ($13.80) you can throw on with some jeans and load up with fun accessories. The second item is a royal blue Shirly Tank Dress ($12.90) that is simple, yet perfect for the warm weather ahead of us. The third item is a Draped Open Front Vest ($19.80). Why do I love it? Well, one it has front pockets, adorable, and two, because it reminds me of a scarf. This would make any t-shirt look glam. The fourth item is an adorable Plaid Tweed Trench Coat ($44.80). It reminds me a lot of the Burberry trench I wrote about yesterday. And, last but not least, is the Sleeveless Boyfriend Cardigan (on sale for $11.99). This cardigan is adorable because not only is it knee length, but also has two front pockets and a belt. For that price, this is a wardrobe staple. I hope you enjoyed these finds, and more to come!

Marc Jacobs New York Fashion Week '09

I am not very excited about Marc Jacobs new line. I know the man is a genius (especially when it comes to purses), but I don't think we need to bring styles from the '80s back. There are some cool pieces in his new fall line, but as a whole I think it's a bust. The styles and silhouettes are pretty unflattering and who wants neon colors to come back? Not me! Nice try Marc, maybe next season. You can see the line on his website.

Burberry Double-Breasted Trench Coat

It's been a very dark and rainy day so I thought I would search the web for a great trench coat. Which of course led me to the wonderful line of Burberry, notorious for the cutest ones around. A belted trench with their signature check could make any dreary rainy day just a little brighter. This coat costs about twice as much as the majority of Burberry coats (Saks for $1,395), but it is adorable. You can only pre-order it right now, though, so all of the rain will probably be gone by the time you get it, at least if you live in California like I do.

Rakku Pink Shoe Wheel

So I was on an organizing kick, and after finding that handbag organizer I remembered seeing a fun shoe organizer. It's pretty expensive ($65 from Rakku), but maybe it will go cheaper in these hard economic times. The wheel holds up to 30 shoes and has wheels on the bottom so if you have a tiny closet you can just wheel it out and spin it around like a Rolodex to find the right pair. It even has an adjustable spinning speed. If you're tight on space, this definitely is the solution. It comes in other colors, too, but I like the girly pink one the best.

Chic Handbag Organizer

If you're anything like me, then you already know how many of these you need to hold all of your purses. The second I stumbled upon this I was jumping for joy and thinking who I could share this with. Lucky you! It's a little pricey ($29.95 each from Fresh Finds), but a great way to display your purses. I know some of my purses are quite expensive and I go to extra precautions to make sure they stay looking new and this would sure make my job a whole lot easier. I mean, if you're going to spend that much on bag, you might as well show it off, even in your closet! A few of these are definitely on the top of my wish list.

Hollister Solana Beach Super Destroyed Jeans

If there's something I can't resist it's a pair of destroyed jeans. I know that there are some people out there that would mock me for buying a pair of jeans with holes already in them, but I've tried (and failed) to place the holes correctly and without making them too destroyed. I think Hollister did a great job on these. They are a nice medium wash and the back pocket design is pretty, too. And $70 for a pair of Hollister jeans, or any nice pair really, is a steal!

Alice + Olivia Leggings

So I know these look kind of silly and up until last night I would have agreed with you. Why the change of heart? Well, normally I'd just say that Alice + Olivia made a pair so I'm willing to change sides of the fence on that alone, but since I love you I will tell you the truth. So pictures this: it's Valentine's Day and I'm picking out an outfit from my closet (many of which still have tags or have not been worn, so no, I did not buy anything new for the occasion). I finally try on a top I bought from bebe about a year ago and, until last night, hadn't found an occasion to wear it. So I put the top on and realize that it's cut a little to short to wear with skinny jeans. As I stared at the mirror I realized the best thing for the outfit would be these leggings. It was upsetting to say the least, but I grabbed my go to 7 for all mankind wide leg jeans and made do. I still think these leggings would have been better though. If you too see the light, then you can pick these up from shopbob.com for $148.

Ashley Tisdale Sporting a Fendi Spy Bag

This has got to be my favorite Spy Bag yet. The Zucca and Turtle Fendi Spy Bag goes for $2,050 from eluxury.com. Anyone who knows me knows how I love me a classic Fendi Zucca print, and on the Spy Bag it just looks that much better. And you know what makes me even more jealous? Miss Ashley Tisdale. She has one of the best handbag collections I've seen in a while. Plus, that girl's handbags are not cheap, most of which range well above $1,000. She's really starting to cement herself as a legitimate fashionista. And just in case any of you were wondering, her dress is the Gypsy 05 Liyah Asymmetrical Dress in Black/Purple. You can buy it from SINGER22 for $139.

Cute Twist on Don't Forget Ring in Gold

So I was browsing around SHOPINTUITION.com and I came across this adorable ring. What a great idea to turn the piece of string into something more sustainable! I would love to get this as a gift from someone special. It's simple and would totally accomplish the idea of remember that person every time you look at it. And for $6, this ring is quite the steal.

Alice + Olivia Draped V Neck Dress

Now who could resist this dress? It's a great color, it's made by Alice + Olivia (one of my favorite designers), and it's a drape dress! What's so great about it? Even though it's a mini, it still looks classy because of the draping. And to top it all off, the back of this dress is adorable, too. What a cute silhouette! This dress is $330 from shopbop.

Betsey Johnson Animal Wayfarers Sunglasses

Here's a great twist on an oldie but a goody. Betsey Johnson did a great job revamping the original Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses. I remember my first pair with the neon sides. I'm glad that Ray-Ban went back to the more traditional colors from the '50s and '60s. These sunglasses are just as adorable as the Ray-Bans, and about half as much, going for $58 from Urban Outfitters. Purple sunglasses look great on everyone and the leopard detailing makes them that much more irresistible. That Betsey Johnson sure knows what she's doing. She always makes the funnest pieces.

Sergio Rossi Back Zip Sandals

These Sergio Rossi sandals are hot. Talk about a shoe that looks great from every angle. You'll look good coming and going! Exposed zippers are so fun and I like how it goes all the way down the heel. I love strappy shoes because not only are they comfortable, but they also add to any outfit without taking anything away. These shoes definitely can be worn anytime of the day, too, so you won't feel as bad spending $695 on them.

Elizabeth and James Aurora Dress

This dress is fabulous. I can't even begin to describe to you how much I love this dress. It's so pretty in that dark grayish purple color and the asymmetrical strap is adorable. I think it would be best paired with some shooties that are so popular right now or even just some chunky Christian Louboutin shoes, you know, the ones with a hidden platform. Needless to say, I would wear this dress A LOT if I owned it. It's just a very cute baby doll dress. I picture Blair Waldorf wearing it. This Elizabeth and James dress is $475 from Saks.

Melamed Ribbon Bow Waist Belt

The perfect belt to update your little black dress. Why I love it: the bow is done in ribbon while the actual belt is leather, and with rhinestone accents, the only thing that may come between you and this belt is the price tag. At $145 from Saks, this Melamed belt is a timeless investment. I mean really, bows don't go out of style. I can just picture wearing this ALL the time. I think it would be great on a dress that needs to be cinched or just as an accessory to a flat colored one. This belt would even look cute on your jeans with a cashmere sweater. A belt that can make your look more feminine and cute is fine by me.

Hilary Duff shows off Burberry Rain Boots and Balenciaga Part Time bag

Hilary Duff is at it again. I wonder how many scarves she has because I never see her wearing the same one. If the girl knows how to do anything it's wear a scarf. Although, my favorite thing to see her wearing is those Burberry rain boots! I've wanted a pair for a long time and I'm quite jealous to see her wearing them. Priced fairly inexpensive (at least for designer boots) at $195 at Nordstrom. One more thing I wanted to note on is her beautiful Balenciaga Part Time bag. If you're anything like me than you've been lusting after this bag since they hit the scene a couple years ago. This lambskin bag goes for $1,450 on the Balenciaga website and I wouldn't hold my breath for one to go on sale.
